Background:
PRD Inc., is a custom plastic injection molding corporation that serves numerous markets such as automotive, industrial, medical, eletronics and government. PRD Management was looking for a company to redesign their old site, which was lackluster in design, failed to provide quality content, and was not intiuitive to potential customers. They wanted a website that was attractive in design, that allowed for management to login and make content updates. Management's goal was to utilize the website as a presentation piece for their existing and prospective clients.
Our Technique After meeting with PRD Inc. management to gather the initial requirements and desired results, we conducted ongoing requirements gathering sessions with PRD Inc. sales manager via face-to-face meetings, phone conversations and email communication.
Our approach was to create a content management system website that utilized a database management system by dynamically populating web pages content. Using popular website development technologies such as ASP.NET and a SQL Server DBMS, we were able to meet and exceed our users' requirements. We created a front page kiosk module that would instantly grab the attention of the website visitor and spark interest to visit other portions of the website.
We created an online administrative control panel that allowed website administrators the ability to log into the website, and view specific sections that they were allowed control over. With our easy to use text editor, administrators could create brand new pages, edit existing content, add/update news & information, maintain a photo gallery, as well as upload documents pertaining to the website.
Result
The final product was a stylish yet easy to use premium branded website for PRD Inc., that allowed management to utilize the website as a presentation module for client meetings. |
